Melissa Forschler, LMFT

Melissa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia. She has extensive experience working with the needs of children, adolescents, couples, and families. As a certified trainer for the Better Brains for Babies program, Melissa is able to assist parents and caregivers through the attachment process and the child/adolescent life cycle. Melissa’s experience also includes treatment in ADHD, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, Trauma, Co-Occurring Disorders, and Medically Related Disorders.

Melissa is currently completing her PhD in Medical Family Therapy. She has over 5 years experience as a lead therapist in a primary care setting, utilizing an integrated health care approach to therapy. She is also an approved AAMFT supervisor and the current treasurer for the Northeast Chapter of the Georgia Association for Marriage and Family Therapists.

Melissa completed her Master’s of Science in Human Services with a specialty in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling at Capella University. She hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Psychology from Park University. Melissa is also a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Cancelation Notice:

As outlined in our paperwork our office policy states there is a fee, which is set forth by each individual provider, for no show or same-day cancellations. Missing an appointment because you did not receive a courtesy reminder does not relieve you of this fee.

Prescription Notice:

A fee of $30.00 will be charged to the patient for medication refills required due to missed or rescheduled appointments and early refill requests.
