Ava Marie Gibson, Intern

Ava Marie Gibson is a graduate student pursuing a Professional Counselor License (LPC).
Ava Marie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The University of Georgia. She is currently completing her Master of Science degree through the Alfred Adler Graduate School’s accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. Ava approaches counseling in a considerate, empathetic, and individualized manner. She integrates techniques of evidence-based theories with the latest research to develop a holistic and contextual therapeutic process unique to each client. Ava places particular emphasis on creating an environment that feels safe; she supports, respects, and collaborates with clients.
Ava Marie was born and raised in Athens, Georgia; she studied internationally in China and Europe. Ava’s exploration provided insight and expertise for working with a diverse population. Ava exemplifies competency in broad-subject matter counseling therapies,
including anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. She is notably knowledgeable of adolescent and adult development, including social, behavioral, emotional, and cogni tive therapeutic strategies.
Ava Marie lives in Athens, loves her rescue pitbull, Dobby, and enjoys volunteering with in the community.
